vRS performance figures, post yours here!

Featured Replies

if you like!

I`ve not seen any performance figure for the vRS either petrol, diesel, manual or dsg or variants of these.

So if people will be kind enough and post a few figures, with a stopwatch etc of say, 30-70 in 4th for instance I think it would be a good source of info for the "petrol heads" among us.

If you put down what variant and gearbox, maybe miles on the clock and weather conditions for comparison. Also pushing the accelerator from the starting speed as opposed to taking a "run up"

Make sure the higher speeds are on your local private road ;)

This isn`t meant to be a boy racer thread or a slagging off platform just a comparison of your car to others :D

Cheers!

I Wouldn't mind seeing these figures on non vRS models as well, especially since the specs indicate that the 184 2.0 TDI DSG 4x4 (not referring to the Scout) is a full second quicker from 0-100 km/h than the vRS with the same engine.

Of course it will be, after all it has the advantage of 4x4. I would say the margin is a lot smaller real world though.

As for in gear, the VRS TDI would be quicker than the Scout.

And as for the Petrol VRS with DSG, here's my times stock and mapped, verified by GPS although looking to do some proper runs in the summer, these were the averages over 5 runs.

Stock;

0-60mph 6.1 seconds (bad start)

0-100mph 14 seconds

Mapped; (346bhp & 368flbt)

0-60mph 5.2 seconds (really good launch)

0-100 just over 10 seconds

And I still can achieve 40mpg!!!,...just loving the car Skoda.

According to the specs the Scout is 0,6s slower than the standard 4x4. Apparently because of its higher stance and and air resistance.

Would love to see some of the in gear times of your car Telboy :D I don`t really take much notice of the 0-60, the in gear times and 0-100mph show the real performance IMO :D

True and to be honest, that's exactly how I'd asked for the car to be mapped, more for in gear than traffic light racing.

I've got the winters on at the mo and I can get the wheels to spin at 80mph!!

Once the weather gets better and the Goodyears go back on, I'll be looking to provide some in gear times, however expecting them to be rather rapid  :D  :D
