None of the insurers we use offer a discount for dash-cams at this stage. Of course, the footage can go against you too. The company mentioned in the article expects to see footage from any accident (fault or non-fault).

I've always found them better at stopping dodgy claims and protecting you than saving you a little on insurance.

But a lot of camera sellers claim a discount because it encourages people to buy.

 

Saving you from a dodgy claim is reason enough to get one IMO.
