Hi,

I have just found an on off switch in the right hand cubby hole on my furby (the one with the pen holder in).

Any ideas what it does before i mess around with it.

Cheers lee

it lets cold air into the can holder

Can Chiller A/C?

same as in glovebox, aircon to keep ur pen cold

twist it round & you will see a hole, this allows cool air from the Air Con to chill a can of drink stored in the cubby hole - Neat :)

Word of warning though this air unlike the chilled glove box feed feeds air at the temperature of the cabin air conditioning.

There was a post on here from someone who had heating on and very nearly exploded the can as it was red hot (they managed to lob it out and exploded all over the road!!!)

ha ha ha ha ha just imaged that happening on motorway.. but lots of cans from glove box been lobbed out exploding everywhere (just like scene in dads army where the flash bangs were been chucked outta car)

Why am I thinking that this incident involved Jason?

If it's an on off button/switch it's not the deactivation switch for the passenger airbag is it

It's not really an on/off switch, it's just a slider in the can chiller which opens/closes an air hole to allow air in.......... :D

Chris

No, it's the push/pull on/off switch for the venting in the can-holding cubby-hole on the right-hand side of the driver...

The passenger airbag de-activation switch is inside the glovebox and looks like one of the door-locks, you put your key in and turn it...:)

I thought they both worked at the temperature of the cabin air, but you say the glove box one is always cold regardless?

Yep glove box is always chilled, whereas the can "chiller" is at the same temperature as the air going into the cabin. :D

Thanks Guys,

Just after I posted I got brave and had a good look at it.

I have now got a nice cold pen. And cold tic tacs

The Air bag deact is in the glove box. You can't miss that as it has a big f off warning sticker on it.

cheers

Lee

DON'T twist it - push it in or pull it toward you. The glove box is the twister.
