Looking at getting the centre silencer removed on my Monte Carlo. Just wondering what others have done regarding removing the centre silencer from their cars and insurance?

 

Obviously, it is a modification so should be declared. But most insurance companies only seem to cover 'performance exhausts'.

 

Any advice is appreciated

i added mine onto my insurance. It came under exhaust manifold modification iirc through elephant insurance. 

 

Adding this bumped my insurance up by 23 ppy which was fine with me.
