Clutch switch on Mk2 octavia/Revs Rise slightly on gearchange VCDS measuring block clutch switch

Featured Replies

Hi guys as above really

everything points towards the clutch pedal switch judging by the issue of when clutch is pressed in the revs rise slightly

Is this incorporated into the pedal assembly as a whole, or is it in the engine bay area?

it does not seem like the Mk1 with a small independent switch next to the pedal

Any help guys much appreciated

Edit: trying to find out the measuring block for the clutch switch as cruise was playing up also

Sounds entirely normal to me. If you hold a dead constant throttle, when you press the clutch pedal the load on the engine drops, so of course the revs rise.

LOL when driving normallly ie: when you release the clutch and throttle at the same time the revs still jump slightly, its common with a clutch switch

Trying to find out clutch measuring block on VCDS so I can test it myself

Mine does this, quite annoying with passengers as looks like I'm pressing clutch and accelerator at the same time!

VCDS is showing the clutch switch as working when depressed as the numbers/value changes

Can it still be faulty even though its getting signal?
