Tablet desk stand

Featured Replies

Morning all :)

Would anyone have any recommendations for a good tablet desk stand? There seems to be a lot of good ones out there that are just for Apple stuff (mines a Asus transformer). I want one that sits on the desk rather than screws to the edge of the desk and must be sturdy enough so that it doesn't slide around the desk when I touch the screen.

Cheers

Kit :)

More seriously I suggest you look at some of the office supplies places and don't get anything too cheap. If you get something decent and heavy that's adaptable you should be able to use it with tablets for a few years.

Seeing them on a web page wont give me much of a real sense of how sturdy it is hence the looking for recommendations.

I use this

And yes, it really does retail for £100!!

I bought mine in PC World for about £15. Getting the keyboard thrown in was a bonus.

Can you fit any tablet to it or just ipads?

Cheers

I have the Asus Transformer Prime and it's own keyboard dock has good rubber feat that keep it in place fine, plus you can alter that angle of the screen and make use of the additional functionality it offers.

For the tablet on it's own I have one the same design as this and it holds it well (no stupid elastic straps like some and you can get them made to measure for a specific model (holes in correct places for things like speaker(s) and camera etc). It holds it well and doesn't slide around on a desk, but that would depend on how har your jabbing at it I suppose. The weight of the tablet does hold itself down fairly evenly over it though.  Had it for over 3 years as I had pre ordered the Transformer Prime and got it on release day in 2012 :o so old now :(

You can fit any Tablet to it. I have a Lenovo Yoga 10 which can be awkward to get 'generic' tablet accessories for due to the rounded battery and it fits pretty well. You secure the tablet at the corners by plastic triangles which attach to the stand via Velcro. Fairly secure. The angle of the stand is variable again via Velcro on the edges.
