Just had a call to say my car will be ready for collection at 13:00 on Thursday 29th

Going by others waiting times here I'm very happy that it's just under 2 months since I put my order in.

Are you not taxing it for the 1st Feb??

After the Fabia it will seem like a Rolls.

Probably be taxed from 1st Jan but as it's free road tax for the first year and £30 thereafter it's not going to cost too much extra.
And as I usually keep a car for about 10 years waiting for the 15 plate does not bother me, it does not make the car any younger.

It will be sad to see the Fabia go, been the most reliable, economical and comfortable car we have had.

History is that since the coilovers were done, the front-left top mount has aways creaked on turning; classic top mount sound of juddering movement. I've tried rotating the spring a little in case that's a difference but I need to do try some more just to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. In the meantime, the front right has developed a creak which is different. It's a heavier creaky rubber feel to it which is triggered on minor movement/weight shift. Going over speedbumps obviously makes

Hi there, my rear box has finally given up the ghost so I'm looking for a half decent replacement. I don't want to fork out for a genuine OEM one as the seem quite pricey. In the past I've bought exhaust parts from a manufacturer beginning with a K and found them to be really poor. A mate of my son works in their technical department and he says he wouldn't use them. So if anyone has any suggestions of makes and suppliers they've found to be good quality I'd love to know. Thanks in advance.

Have a listen to the audio & share your thoughts. I've replaced both wishbones & anti role bars a couple of months ago. This rattle started about a week ago & is progressively getting worse. The right hand tyres is wearing on the edges, both inside & outside. Turning the teering wheel on a flat road doesn't create the sound. Only when driving over drains or potholes. I've had on ramps and had the wheel off. I can't see anything obvious Skoda front suspension rattle.mp3

Hi. I got a xenon light that last week startet to act up with flickering. So I read here and understood and got confirmed that is the first on a path to have to change the xenon bulbs. My process was the following: Flickering right xeon light Turned off the lights a few days, then one day turned off and they both were dead, no life at all on auto at least. changed both left and right xenon. Surpriced how easy it was. The lights still dead after changed both to philips D3D bulbs. The ifht xen

Hi guys My Octavia 2 FL makes rattling noise on rough asphalt, exposed stones, small cracks. Brakes, system ATE, disc 280mm, pads Febi 16328. When I press brake pedal quiet. When release rattling comes back. I even replaced one rubber sleeve. New Febi sleeve is more loose than orginal ATE Skoda OEM sleeve. I replaced guide pins for brand new ATE. MOT in March nothing in suspension. I know sway bar link clattering noise. I think left side is louder than right or it is noise from left wheel. Any
