4x4 Tyres?

Featured Replies

I need to change the front tyres on my 4x4 Octavia. Do they need to be the same make as those on the back?

I know its best to have matched tyres on each wheel of an axle but what about different makes from front to back?

The ideal would be all four the same, but not absolutely necessary

Read the manual first. Some types of 4x4 transmissions are adversely affected by different rolling diameters front and rear. I know normal wear and tear can produce that effect as well. I believe Subaru and others specified tyre rotation front to rear as a precaution. That's all I know.

I have just bought an 2007 Octavia 4x4 and didn't notice 2 different tyre sizes on the car...can't find the official tyre size on Skoda site.  Can anyone tell me the recommended size ?

Tyre sizes and pressures for your vehicle should be displayed on the reverse of the fuel flap.

I have just fitted GOODYEAR VECTOR 4SEASONS XL 205/60R15 95 H on all wheels - very good price and performance for my 4 x 4
