hi my octavia 2001 1.6 wipers only work on the 3rd setting. ive tried a new motor and a new relay (total €200) and still no differant. sometimes it takes a few seconds on the 3rd setting to actually move but they go forever at that speed. any other setting wont work. ive also tried changing the fuse. i was told it could be the switch . any help would be greatful , thanks.

Switch.  Try some switch cleaner in it first.  This would have been the first thing I would have tried.
