A couple of quick questions

Featured Replies

I've got some DoDo Juice Lime Prime which is a pre-wax cleaner (and mild abrasive). What should I use prior to applying a sealant?

I've got a quite heavily scratched and poorly treated Black Magic Fabia. Would a good polish followed by Poorboys Black Hole and a sealant be a good way of making the best of an old cars paintwork?

Prior to touching up some paint chips and scratches, what should I clean the area with? An APC or would CarPro Eraser be OK (as that is what I have at present)?

Thanks.

Might do how bad are the scratches?

DJ Lime Prime is primarily used to prepare for wax or glaze, so adding Black Hole after the polish will be fine

Poorboys EX-P is a great combo with Blackhole

Some are quite bad and need to touched up with paint first, but there are a lot of surface scratches (as opposed to swirls).

I should have said that these questions are about two different cars!

I'm looking to try a sealant on my Yeti as opposed to a wax (hence I have Lime Prime and wanting to know what to use before a sealant).

The black Fabia is going to be a 'see how good I can get it' as opposed to looking for perfection (it is a 2003 family 'abused' car).

Probably seen it around town, have you still got use of that polisher?

I have and will need to use it in earnest on the Fabia!

Lime prime is ok if using a sealant, I always apply to a productless, grease free paint surface...so you can wipe down with diluted IPA after that

The exception is one I describe above

So..Prepare the surface well and youll be fine
