Alernative place to buy these LED's

Featured Replies

Anyone know where to buy these LED's besides HIDs direct? http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/r580-w21-5w-canbus-27-smd-5050-led-bulbs-pair-white/

I got a problem with one of the bulbs I bought from HIDS direct, It will not go "down" to the 5w filament when I turn on the headlights, it just stays on 21W, I tried to switch back to Mtech bulbs, and all was fine, so it has to be the LED's. I wrote to Hids direct, but I have a feeling that I don't hear anything from them, so I would like to have a alternative place to buy an new one or a set, just in case, need to be the exact same LED of cause.

The reason I'm in doubt of hearing from them about my complaint, is that I wrote them because my order was extreamly slow to arrive to Denmark, so I wrote them to check up on my order...they did not reply at all, I waited for over a month before my order arrived, and I still haven't got a reply on my email

Thanks

John

They have always been prompt in replying to my emails.

I may be wrong, but I think that these LEDs are made for HIDS direct...so you may not get them anywhere else. I had exactly the same problem as you and they sent a replacement by return. I would email again and say how displeased you are....

...should have also asked...did you reverse the LED in it's fitting?....because this makes a difference to it's proper operation.

That happened to me with the same bulbs but they gave me an instant refund [emoji106]

I gave up with drl,s. Waste of time and money.

I've had them for about 9 months...working perfectly. (I have the time and the money and will waste both if I want to!)

:o

I have same ones.

One stayed bright, simply plugged it in the other way around and hey presto both LEDs operated correctly :)

They have worked perfectly now for about 6 months.

Suggest you try reversing the lamp first if you haven't.

Worth typing into google "R580 W21/5W LED" lots of different sites and suppliers come up for me?

Also saw lots of different led arrangements too, so should give you something to try as an alternative :)

Well I'll be damned...I just went out and removed the LED, straightened out the four wires on the LED, reversed it, and now it works perfectly :-) :-)

Guess that explains why it didn't work when I reversed it yesterday.

Wow this light is WHITE...my Philips extreme vision H4 and Mtec DRL looks yellow in comparison :-) :-) :-)

Thanks for all your replies :-)
