Bluetooth query

Featured Replies

Morning all

I am now the proud owner of a 62 plate Vrs Blackline in White and chuffed to bits I am !!.. But... It has all the bells and whistles except Bluetooth, can anyone tell me if you can retrofit it, and if so who in the Peterborough area would oblige ?

It's not a hard thing to fit.

You'll need a wiring kit such as this: http://www.carsystems.pl/bluetooth-installation-kit-plug-play-for-7p6-and-5k0-module-foam-cover,id123.html and then a bluetooth module appropriate for your car, these can normally be found on ebay for £70-100 depeding exactly which you need.

Once it's wired in, coding it is pretty simple with VCDS. There are probably a few members closer than I am but if not I'm only an hour or so away.

To decide on the best module for your car, I think all we need to know is if you have maxidot (shows you a picture of which door is open) fitted in the cluster.

Might help if this was moved to the "In Car Entertainment (ICE) and Security" section.

If its a Blackline spec there is BT already present in the Amundsen satnav. It just needs a mic fitting and coding with VCDS. If you look in the parts for sale there is a thread where Eddie-NL is offering the mics for sale reasonably.
