Time to sell?

Featured Replies

I too think buying one year old is probably the way to go in future but move up to premium brands like JAG or ANOTHER Jag for new Skoda money.

Altered for the sake of accuracy :D

Matt may be from rough Sheffield, but he talks sense sometimes

Eyup yer cheeky Captain Jungle Monkey, get back in yer southern box or should I say boat!

The O3 is likely rather a victim of its own success where used values are concerned.

V popular both privately and with hire companies....the used market is now flooded with early traded cars, ex demos, ex VAG management cars and ex hire vehicles in all specs....used supply certainly for now has exceeded demand and pasted used prices with it IMHO.

.....did well on the blackline I guess being a rare and v late Mk2 with one off specification which was quite a bit higher than the standard car. Shucks I do wish id kept it!

Cheeky Capt Jungle Monkey. Now I like that!

Now for those of us that speak English, could you expand on what Eyup means? :D

Dam hire companies. Why cant they stick to their Fords and Vauxhalls. Have to ruin it for those of us sensible enough to buy a decent car

Now then ... Or Hello!

Got a good deal on my Blackline too. As much as I love the Blackline I've got a faster better equipped vRS on the way in just 7 days.

Indeed....it'll almost certainly depreciate more heavily though. Most year old vRS's are selling used for a good margin under 20k so if their booking 16-17k trade that'd be considered pretty good. Thats pretty bad for a 24.5k (or possibly more in your case) motor.

I sold my Blackline for nearly 17k after year one and only paid 20k for it (was an estate with DSG too).

IMHO residuals on the O3 really arent looking so great......

My VRS is going at Easter been given a figure of 15k maybe a smidge more (as I'm chopping it in). I only paid 16k for it, not bad for 15 months old I suppose. It's being replaced with a Superb Elegance estate fully loaded(170bhp) for the princely sum of 19k, good old tax free or it would be nearly 32k.

Now then ... Or Hello!

Aye, that'd be it :D
