does bengie's sound typical of a blueflame turbo-back/sports cat system? it's still sounding a bit boomy

I'm basing my opinion on Gerry's car.

If you want an aftermarket exhaust, look at the cirrent Group buy on Octy vRS exhaust and DP/Cat ( the bit that makes the difference).

has anyone tried powerflow exhausts in stainless steel made to order

ie bore size amounts of noise etc

ive had other cars done by them and not bad price.

and had no probs at all

its was done at rsr tyres in redhill 01737 772243 speak to chris

he is my contact there hope that helps

I think the Blueflame down pipe and CAT matched with a supersprint racing system is the mix to go for!

I have just recently invested in a Blue Flame D/P and CAT, this exhaust is awsome! It does not give a massive bhp increase if any BUT what it does do is change the boost timing. It was noted by my good friend Dan (wrxsixtythree) that it boosts alot earlier and the torque is excessive. I must say that it does have a deep burble and can be quite load depending on how heavy your foot is but hey ..... what do you get a big fat pipe for anyway? I love mine and you should love yours...... when you get one.

I think that you get the best out of any exhaust / High flow cat when you have sorted the breathing first, CAI, removing restrictions etc, blue flame reckon on 17/18bhp with the full system.

This is true about getting CAI but only feel the real benefit when remap done after everthing tweaked. The next part of my Octy project is just that - induction & valve before a remap. Costs to much to have it all done in one go and I could not resist the price of the exhaust offer from Blue Flame on ebay.

Does the Blue Flame fit all 1.8T's or just the vRS?

Blueflame manufacture exhausts to fit all 1.8T's, the GB is for exhaust and Cat fitted to any 1.8T 2wd or 4wd Skoda ( slightly higher price and MUST be custom fitted at the factory) if you want to join the GB PM me

Hey Ross...

Sorry guys I know this is off topic, but Ross, do you know what companies I can approach for an exhaust for my car?

Milltek might be able to sort you out, but being a 2.0 it will need a different centre section/front pipe. For that they woud need your car and you being abroad would make this tricky..lol.

Do you have any custom build options over there?

Well, there's the tuning shop called Performance Motorsport where I usually get my stuff from, they do exhausts too. I could prolly ask him for pricing for a full exhaust system for the 2.0.
