Track day cover...

Featured Replies

I am arranging to renew my insurance on my old classic car (eunos roadster) and its a measly £165...... something suprised me, available trackday cover! (MSA)

Please select the level of Track Day Cover you wish to include with your insurance policy

Cover will be provided whilst you are participating in a Track Day at a Motor Sports Association (MSA) approved track that has it's own Public Liability insurance in place. The Track Day must be organised at a UK track and be organised by a Club or Track Day Organiser. Please select Track Day 1 for one track day in the policy year, or Track Day 3 for three days in the policy year.

Cover provided by Ageas Insurance Limited.

Track Day 1
£16.50
Track Day 3
£34.37

so I can be comprehensively covered for 3 trackdays for £34 on my old classic car..... bargin!

why cant I get cover like this on my vRS?! lol... vRS : track mods, all electronic safety aids ect ect .... eunos, no electronic, sideways action, standard brakes ect ! ... hhhmmmm

Bargain. Wonder if Brisky insurance can cover us. I Used Moris last time. More than £30 and some!

^^^^^^^Like!!!!

There has to be mileage (no pun intended) in a site sponsor offering competatively priced track day insurance for forum members.

What exactly does the track day cover cover? Are you covered for smashing up other people's cars, your car or replacing barriers?

Personally, I've never bothered with track day insurance from the point of view that if I bend the car, whatever, I'll just buy another one. If someone else took me out by driving like a nob, I'd be annoyed but I'm on that track at my own risk and motorsport is dangerous. Worst thing that could happen is that I smash into someone elses car, but I don't drive like nob and ultimately, they too are on that track at their own risk.

Also, what excess does that track day cover come with?

Hi,

Just to let you know that we can offer a standalone track day policy to forum members regardless if they insure the car with us. If anyone would like a quotation then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan.

Cover I got covered my car only.

From memory about 2k excess and a load of conditions etc

But I cannot afford to replace it, I may loose control and bin it.

Or someone in front may get a tank slapper on and take me out.

Car I take is my only car and daily commute tool too.

Everyone is responsible for their own motor no matter how the damage is caused and no matter who's fault it is.

The risk of a crash is small. But the impact to me (no pun intended) would be mahoosive.

If I had a 'cheap' track toy or a spare car probably wouldn't insure.
