Driver seat issue (VRs)

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Just picked up my 2012 VRs estate today.

Really happy with it.

I noticed a problem with the upper bolster on the drivers seat though.

The cushioning seems to be out of place causing it to sag inwards.

The passenger side is fine.

What can I do to rectify this?

Will I have to remove the seat cover?

Many thanks.

Common problem, the only fix is to change the foam its not cheap and there is an airbag module in there too.

Ours was repaired by the dealer ages ago and it has never been right. Its like they haven't lined the foam up properly. Its only sitting in a bit and the foam is still firm so it hasn't collapsed. It would be good to get the cover taken off and the foam lined up properly.

Cheers lads.

Took it over to my main dealer.

The manufacturer's warranty runs until August and they are going to replace the foam and the airbag so hopefully that'll sort it.

The service manager was very helpful and said he'd have the whole car checked over just incase there was anything else that needed done under warranty whilst the car was in.
