DSG Sticks in gear too long

Featured Replies

Ok.

I have a Skoda Octavia 105680 miles on the clock, recently serviced, FSH etc etc, DSG Oil changes by Skoda dealer at 41k and 86k. 05 Plate with DSG Box 1.9tdi Elegance.

On a long run, up and down steep inclines, it has been noticed that if I use Sports Mode for an passing manover in an overtaking line up an incline, when I put it back into Drive, it stays in the gear and doesn't change gear as normal into a more suitable gear. This is despite lifting off the throttle. To rectify it, I slip into tip tronic and change up, then back into drive.

Does anyone else with a DSG have this problem?

I have done near 700 miles in the past 24 hours?

Advice appreciated please, car runs like a dream apart from that.

Never seen that problem, but my car has only covered 27K miles in a little under 3 years.
