Hello all. Wondering if anyone's had this issue and what the cause of it was....

My octavia is having intermittent starting issues. It will be fun starting on the first turn of the key for days, but the I'll turn the key get all the usual dash lights and nothing, until I wriggle or bash the gear stick towards the drivers seat. After doing that it seems to fire up fine.

Any ideas??

Bad connection on your starter motor Clean them up an check your wires for breaks or splits an if all that's good then your starter motor is on way out
