Pressure Washer, Snow Foam Lance & Snow Foam

Featured Replies

My snow foam lance and snow foam have arrived, just waiting on the pressure washer now!

The lance from Direct Hose's appears to be great quality, I've not seen the Autobrite one but if it is more solid than this one is must be indestructible!

Good products, got all my lances from DirectHoses, great quality pieces of kits without being ripped off. Enjoy

  • I've only used the autobrite foam from the group buy (think magifoam-banana one??) Wasn't that impressed, maybe I was expecting too much? Car chem doing 5ltr for a tenner, which I bought after recomme

  • Great, my plan right now is the Nilfisk C110 @ £60 inc. VAT and delivery.   A snow foam lance with Alto adaptor from Direct Hose's at £25.   Then I might try this @ £10.20 + £4.99 shipping = £15.1

Had a good go with the new jet wash and snow foam lance the other week, worked a treat!

The only frustration I have is with the supplied hose, it's too short. It also feels a little cheap / plasticy, which is to be expected at this entry level price point.

I'd like a longer and more rubberised hose, like the ones you see at those self service garage jet washes.

Looking on Direct Hoses website there seems to be quite some choice, any recommendations!?

Direct Hoses or Qwashers - both sell excellent quality longer pressure washer hoses. I bought my longer Nilfisk hose (a 10m one) from Qwashers - perfect length to get aroud the car without moving the pressure washer.

Brill, thanks Chris and Chris, that was my next question 10m or 15m?

10m gets round a Rapid nicely?

I wonder if it would it be worth going for 15m for HMS Superb!?

Mine is 15 m ....Goes a long way..I'd get that

On a C110 definitely stick with the 10m, anything longer and you will see a drop off in pressure from the gun (as well as stressing the quite small pump/motor in the PW) - 10m is a proven good compromise for the C110 in additional length without over-stressing the pump.

I went for the 15m hose in the end, I'm happy to sacrifice a little pressure in order to avoid having to drag the pressure washer around with me.

I checked the manual to see if the max. length of hose was stipulated anywhere, I couldn't see it so have emailed Nilfisk directly.

It isn't going to get used that often so I'm hoping any extra strain on the pump won't affect me too much.

I checked out the same hose on Qwasher's eBay store and it worked out a few extra pounds more than Direct Hoses so went with this...

15m @ £40.50 - £2.02 (5% discount) + 7.00 P&P = £45.48.

I struggled to find the page I needed to be honest, they seem to have multiple websites to differentiate the commercial business from the entry level pressure washer I have.

There was a web address in my manual that took me to an online contact page here...

Just to update this, Nilfisk came back to me and said that there was a 7 metre extension hose available as an optional extra so he recommended this was the maximum length to use (the 5 meter hose supplied with the pressure washer plus a 7 metre extension = 12 metres).

I tried my 15 metre hose from Hoses Direct this morning and it worked a treat.

One gripe though, how the hell do you guys store the hose, it didn't wanted to be looped, it is more stubborn than my 2 year old son!

I almost lost my temper with it and ended up slinging it on the garage floor!

I just coil mine around the pressure washer and secure it with a velcro strap.

I've put a series of hooks along the beams in the garage roof and lay it along these. It keeps it out of the way, uncoiled and ready to go.
