mintex discs and pads

Featured Replies

Not about my fabia but the family S max. We need new discs and pads, I can get Mintex all round for £150. Ecp want over 200 for Eicher discs and pads.

Has anyone used mintex or heard things about them, I thought they were a good brand.

Steve

Mintex are far superior to eicher

I've never used them on an S-Max, but Mintex are a well-known and reputable brand. I've never heard of "eicher". Can ECP quote for Pagid?

You don't want to put Pagid pads on your family run about. Brembo sport HP2000 are excellent if you want something with a bit of extra performance

Why? VAG use Pagid as OEM across all but the highest performance models.

Pagid make a lot of the oe pads supplied from the factory - they are a good bet for oe spec replacements but I favour the mintex ones mentioned - usually available I. The minted brake box sets for a bargain price. :)

Misread the OP, thought he meant the race pads.

All these brand names, quite a few owned by a larger conglomerate, produce a large range of pads.  You really need to check out exactly what you are being offered.

Dad racer instead of boy racer. Thanks for the feedback, the mintex set seem like a good deal.

I put Mintex on the Octy. Perform well, but by god did the centres rust quick.

Just to add to my own of experience. I used mintex on my last car many times and they are well rated by another forum I was on until I bought an Octavia Estate recently. I will replace with Mintex when the time comes. Another is you can get great priced boxed sets on e-bay.

I always used to fit mintex and was completely happy with them.
