Creaking rear

Featured Replies

My VRS seems to have developed a creak at the rear. Happens going over speed bumps and down my rather pot-holed lane. Had new tyres all round today, had a good peer at it but all looked good. All the bushes I could see looked ok, and the springs were in good condition. Any suggestions? I'm hoping it'll be covered by my warranty. It goes in for its MOT in a week or so anyway.

Let me know if you find out anything I've got the exact same problem on mine, going over bumps etc, took it to skoda and if didn't make the noise.. Soon as the chap got out if the car and I drove off it came back bloody car, let me know if you find out anything....

Similar thing on mine

No idea what it is. It comes and goes :(

Had a similar problem with mine.  Took it back to Skoda who greased up all the bushes as it only happened over speed bumps and pot holes.  That didn’t work.

In the end found out it was the boot was not aligned properly and was moving when going over a bump.  They adjusted it and it’s not happened since.

Glad to hear at may be a 'feature'......

I sat in the boot yesterday bouncing up and down and couldn't hear it. The kids thought I'd lost it.

Hahah I did exactly the same thing but pushing it with my hands instead of sitting in it. Just going up and down pushing it some of the looks I got were great!!!

Happens to mine when it's been raining- either the rear bushes are wet or something to do with the boot.  Goes away when it's all dried out!

mine used to do it and it was just where the upright part of the rear seat fastened, greased it up and all is good now

I'll get on this n give it a go.

Cheers!

It does sound like it might be an interior thing. Was going to get some silicone spray and try
