No boost

Featured Replies

So I recently bought a copen and within 30miles the turbo failed. I've picked it up today with a brand new turbo but it is still struggling. There appears to be no low down boost resulting in it struggling to climb hills and in 5th struggling to maintain 70..it almost feels like the turbo is pulsing..

I'm thinking boost leak but is there anything else I should look at? I know it's not a Skoda but hoping someone might have an idea of what to look for...

Well, I've a vague notion what a "kai car" is, and that's about all I know or care to.

A boost leak does sound plausible, and ok they're more Toyota but in Lincs you're not that far from Fennsport.

Its gone back to Daihatsu this afternoon. Fennsport is about 15mins from me lol

When you said "Copen" I was thinking it was a grey import.

Nah, UK car. And full of problems as previous owners have not taken care of it. Grr
