question regarding coilovers

Featured Replies

Looking around and im swaying towards jom coilovers rather than eibach or H&R lowering springs for my Bora TDi

Ive also thought about a budget sport shocker / spring setup but cant find much info on these as to ride quality or life span.

Im not wanting to 'slam' it just 35-40mm lower, I know the higher quality springs make more sense but will wear the standard shocks out in no time and I dont have the budget to stretch to better shocks to suit the springs.

My main aim is to have less arch gap but retain some comfort.

so, for you few coilover owners who have set their ride 35-40mm, what is the comfort like compared to standard setup, and just lowering springs?

Many years ago I had a mk1 focus and fitted 35mm eibach springs, I was most impressed for the year I owned it but having fitted just springs to heavier cars the shocks dont tend to last long at all so this is putting me off especially with the bora having a heavy diesel lump

some supporting pics of differnt set ups may help me decide?
