Virtual a: drive...

Featured Replies

Anyone know of some software trickery to create a virtual floppy, ie pretend to be an a: drive so you can read/write to it. Got some old software to install and use on a XP non floppied laptop. And it moans if it can't find a:

the easiest way is use the subst command

it will substitute a drive letter for a given folder

think (it's been a while) the syntax is:

subst a: c:\foldername

cheers
