Featured Replies

The facts:

  • 800 bhp PLUS from 7.0 litre V12
  • Fully composite construction including magnesium torque tube for carbonfibre propshaft
  • RWD through 6 speed Xtrac sequential gearbox
  • 380mm Brembo carbon brake discs
  • 19in Michelin track tyres
  • Only 24 to be made
  • Track only
  • £1,800,000 each (in UK)

'Unique ownership programme' when first deliveries commence in 2016; intensive driver training starts with roadgoing Vantage V12s, a stint in Darren Turner's race-car simulator and One-77 hypercars before graduating to Vulcans.

If Carlsberg did track days...

Other than the stupid steering wheel it's lovely. And a proper angry name for a car!

Question is, if it's track only, what class of racing does it fit into? Otherwise that's a lot of money for a car you can't really use on anything but a none-competitve track day.

The sort of people that buy these cars don't really care about that.

It's like the Ferrari 'FXX' owners. Quite happy to turn up to circuits, hop in, have a blast and then leave!

Another small production run model from Aston, I hope they will still be here in a couple of years ?

I suspect the reason they are able to do these ultra expensive small production runs of vehicles, is because they are doing well.

More than 800 bhp.  It's going to need a nozzle out the front so that you can refuel half way round the lap (like a real Vulcan).

I saw that and nearly shat myself. That is one stupendous beast.

Everyone keeps on about Ferrari, or those funny things beginning with L which I cant spell. Sorry, move along, us Brits have got the supercar market wrapped up with Aston Martin and Maclaran

You can't spell the one starting in M either. :D

And what about the German supercars that start with a P?  That's very hard to get right. Too many consonants in a row.

It's going to need more than 800bhp anyhow - isn't the FXX-K advertised at 1050 already?

Better looks would be good too - The current bland image looks quite like a TVR speed 12 painted green...

If you are looking for an ultimate track car with a fully blown driver development and racexserues behind it look no further than Macca - they absolutely nailed it with GTR! http://cars.mclaren.com/home/models_link/McLAREN%20P1/mclaren-p1-gtr.html

I simply cannot imagine anybody being able to do anythong even coming close to this. This Vulcan is a gimmick really and horribly ugly at that. Want race V12? Go for LaFerrari :)

Maclaran is the brand new manufacturer ive just invented.

Mclaran are pretty good as well though :D

I actually tried both spellings when I initially typed my post, and still thought I had the correct spelling.

No idea about your Ps. If it isn't an Aston, whats the point

its pure fantasy of course - I'd be wildly happy with a 4.3 Vantage, but I can't even rustle up 35k, let alone 1.8mil

What about McLaren? ;-)

I drove Vantage around a track and the gearbox was ****!

semi-auto?  I'll have a 6 speed manual after I retire and downsize the house.

Some paddle shift crap - lag was epic!

What about McLaren? ;-)

Yeah, nearly as good as Lada!
