TCS, ASR or ESC....?

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I'm a little confused, if I press the traction control button then in the maxidot it says TCS ON / OFF.  How do I find out if I have ASR or ESC...?

Thanks

Dave

EDIT:

Car is 2010 Octavia Estate L&K DSG TDI

The button will either say ASR or ESP.

If it's an L&K 2010 you will have ESP.

If you have ESP, on a pre facelift car, it will say ESP on the button. On a facelift car, it will have the car skidding symbol.

If you have ASR it will just say ASR on the button.

Facelift ESP:

Pressing the button doesn't disable the ESP, it simply disables the traction control.

It's possible to alter the settings of the car so a long press of the button fully disables ESP.

Thanks guys, button has no letters just a pic of car and 2 wiggily lines.  If it has got ESP why when I hold the button it it just says 'TCS OFF'......TCS ON........TCS OFF.......TCS ON..... ?

Thanks

Dave
