I've been looking for some road legal track day tyres and had these recommended, £277.56 for a set of 4 I thought was a cracking deal that others would be interested in

That is good but my size is more expensive despite being smaller  (215/40 R17) - £82.49 on tyreleader, £81.00 on oponeo.

Wow, they're prices are fantastic! Why are they cheaper than all the usual places? Hadn't heard of that website before. Normally use black circles or something but these seem better.

What are these tyres like as an everyday tyre? I.e. Cold mornings, rain, standing water etc?

I think they're mainly a track day tyre, and the wet grip rating is pretty dire, so I certainly wouldn't run them as an every day tyre

They also kill the fuel economy  Wet grip is still good though - as good as any other normal tyre to me.  Pretty sure Mr Sharkrider runs them over the summer on his car.

When the ratings are generated by an independent body using standardized testing then maybe they will be useful! Until then they are junk!

Well I did try and find some good videos showing the RS-Rs wet grip which featured only 30mph zones and fluffy kittens, but weirdly there were none...
