Spare wheel/tyre needed.

Featured Replies

My 2009 1.9D Octy has no spare, which I understand is standard. Does anyone know what the cheapest option is for getting a good spare? I only want a wheel that is mostly circular and fits the arch and hub, so what would do the job please? (anything off a Golf or Polo maybe)

Cheers Julian

Anything that is 5x112 PCD et45 to 50 in 15 or 16 inch should do the job. This tends to be anything that is mk5 or 6 Golf based or bigger (my winter wheels are off an Audi A4 or A6 but A3 is also suitable along with many Seats and golf based VWs.

I have an unused Skoda 15 inch spare wheel fitted with a Continental tyre that was with my car when I bought it but found out the hard way it won't fit a VRS.

A new one like this would be around £100, make me an offer :D

Thanks chaps, I've just purchased everything from a scrappy off ebay. (jack, wrench, tyre etc) Sorry Bubbles, I am using my little 'netbook' PC as I am away from hone and I didn't scroll down to your post until I had gone to ebay.

Thanks Julian.

No worries, it was a long shot anyway.
