Speaker options for front and rear

Featured Replies

Hi,

What are the dimensions and types of speakers available for a monte/mk2? Mine seem to rattle and sound a bit cheap when i'm not going fast so wanted to see what options i have...

Thanks

6.5 inch in the front door and 1inch tweeter in the a-pillar

Wouldnt bother changing the back personally as 2 channel stereo is better, but theyre 5inch if you really feel the need to.

Thanks, are they easy to do yourself? And what do you mean by 2 channel stereo?

Apparently but i havent done. I plan to take mine to a car audio specialist.

Also worth using dynamat in the door whilst youre there.

2 channel stereo is just the front speakers, fading out the backs. It gives a better sound. The backs really just fill and space and are only any good if youve got passengers in the back IMO.
