Hi guys,

 

Its been over 2 years since i sold my Octavia and now were looking into having a family so my current car needs to go, I have fond memories of my 1.9 TDI octavia and have been looking at buying a newer 07-09 ish 2.0 Vrs TDI or anything around the £7,000 mark, can anyone out there tell me if its a good family car to live with?

 

also any buying tips or things to look out for?

I don't see why not.

 

Running costs are generally good.

 

Plenty of room in the car for passengers and a huge boot. Recently had 5 adults with 5 cases in the boot (we were going snow boarding so they were big too!) and hand luggage.

Excellent family car be it the hatch or estate as I have one of each both FSI.

Tow a folding camper all over the place with 5 up and boot full no problems.

Have had various Skodas since the mid 80s no complaints.

I may get ripped apart here but other cars i have considered are the Mazda 6 and the Mondeo, my first choice being the Octavia at the moment.
