Hello everyone

I am at the moment driving an early 2009 Mazda 3 2.0 petrol sport. For a number of years I have owned a variety of Japanese cars, as up till now, they have been my preferred mode of transport. Reliability and some performance being my priorities. They range from a Civic VTI. Nissan GTI, Civic Type R, Honda Accord and now the Mazda. Now the interesting thing for me is, I am thinking of going for a Skoda. The model I am looking at is the Octavia petrol VRS around a 2011, 2012, model. My question to you more informed Skoda drivers is, What is the "real world" mpg for this model. I travel about 20k a year on a variety of road types, in other words I will not just be driving slowly around town with poor mpg. At the moment I get around 37mpg from the Mazda and I was hopeing to get near that from the Skoda. Unless of course I use too heavy a right foot. What do those of you with this model get?

Sorry about a question as soon as I introduce myself, but I do hope to supply some input to the forum in the future. Now I am going to scan the forum to see what additional info I can glean.
