I have v11 maps on my Columbus and wondered if (after I enter my destination and it plans the route) I can zoom into the route to see where it is going to take me. I am planning a long (600 mile) journey and I know there are more than one way to drive the last 100 miles so would like to know which one it is planning to take me.

Turn the right hand knob , that zooms in and out

If you set it to give you three route options (Fastest, shortest & most economical) it should give you a map of the complete routes so you can pick which one you want.

Right hand dial to zoom in/out.

Touch the screen and drag the map around to see different parts.

It goes into 2D mode but automatically chooses one route after about 30 seconds.

You'll need to put it back into 2D mode if you want to see more (icon / menu in bottom left of screen) but will need to put it back into 3D mode and set it to centre on your location again (top right icon with four inwards pointing arrows) again.

If you press the last item in the menu bar across the bottom next to 'Extras', you can set it to auto zoom as you approach junctions and zoom out on long stretches.

A perfect solution
