light on dash will go out but once car has started light will come on, have

changed pump onto another fabia and it is working ok on that car,

2. when i move of in car for a short distance centrally locking with

activate and lock all doors will open again on door switch and will be ok

untill i say have stopped at a junction and move of and will lock all dooors

thing.

Would love to get this fixed as it is driving me up the walls i am a

skoda fan and have a few.

Your power-steering problem is a common one.. its more than likely the steering position sensor... its like a "ring" on the steering column behind the steering wheel... bit of a pain to change!.

as for your central locking... a dealer or someone with VAGcom should beable to disable it.

Incorrect im afraid chappie.

The PAS sensor sits under the car in the side of the steering rack next to the pinion.

And the sensors dont normally give up on that age car. Are there any fault codes in 44 - Steering assistance?

This is a new safety feature on central locking (it can be switched off by your dealer) but the idea is to stop people entering your car whilst your stopped at lights etc.

Oviously it unlocks via button or when you take the key out.
