Father in law is car searching, we've been waiting for a Ford Mondeo 2.5T Titanium X Sport to come up, for 2 months but only 1 has come on the market and sold before we could get there:

I have a vRS myself, petrol 56' with gadgets which I love and thought it can't be beaten on price, in terms of power, practicality etc. That Mondeo though is pretty epic.

He's driving my old Mk1 vRS currently...

but at 110k miles he fancies something new/different now. Originally wanted an Audi but they're too expensive for similar spec (wants the power still) as budget is circa £9k. The only comparable car I can find...yes a vRS! So what about this one:

Welcome any opinions on other cars you'd recommend! Needs to be a hatch or estate (prefer hatch), under 50k miles, manual, petrol, 200+bhp, not ridiculous on mpg/tax and very max budget of £10k, obviously the newer the better. With that criteria though I can't seem to better the MondyTitXSport or vRS...!
