Changing sun visor clips

Featured Replies

So broke one of my sun visor clips and searched on here on how to remove the covers without damaging head liner. A few people seemed to struggle with it so here's my guide. Took me 2 mins.

Order part 3B0857561B (I got my one from skodaparts.com for about £3)

You need a reasonable sized flat blade screwdriver and a very small one.

Working from the drivers seat side of the clip and not window side...

Take large screw driver and slide as shown below.post-64246-14261716229139_thumb.jpg

Next take small screwdriver and press in slightly along roof line. In one motion press in and out with large screwdriver and then with smaller one try and flick the cover down. You will see it flex when you press the large screwdriver. post-64246-14261717465649_thumb.jpg

The cover will pop off easily. Leaving the screws and clip exposed. post-64246-14261717954845_thumb.jpg

Simply unscrew replace with new and then push the plastic cover back on. You will hear it click when it's home.

Here's the inside of the plastic cover so you can see the lugs that hold it on. post-64246-14261718843768_thumb.jpg

Hope it helps....
