Anyone playing Assetto Corsa v1.1

Featured Replies

As Assetto corsa fans will know the dream pack was recently released, anyone on here have it or play it?
Just been on the Touristfahren mode online and would be good to get some fellow briskodians playing
If so add me on steam as p45t13
Thanks
Alex

No, I haven't touched it in ages but a Touristfahrten online mode sounds like what I've been wanting from a driving game for years.

Edit: Oh wow, they've added it as DLC?!  This game is the biggest mistake I made buying it on Early Access and paying through the nose for it, I can't believe they finally have content I want and it's paid DLC, what a joke.

Do you use a wheel or joystick?i found the game handles like crap with thumbsticks, you need a wheel then spend time setting it up correctly.

I did feel that the DLC was a bit of a p-take,i played the snoopy version of nurburg on the beta releases and was happy, but i feel the tenner for the DLC was worth it in the end.

Try some of the community mods on the assetto corsa site,i recommend the mk2 escort and civic type r

I've never used a steering wheel I liked the feel of so I use a control pad, there's no reason why the game can't work well with that.  Having dealt with bugs and a lack of content for a while as well as seeing the price plummet, I'm not impressed at having to pay for actual content when it comes out so this isn't a developer I'll be supporting any further,

You did say you purchased early access? thats a pre release so bugs and other issues are to be expected, V1.0 wasnt that good either though,it has taken them til v1.1 to iron out the bugs etc,but they have done a great job...eventually.
Dont worry Project Cars will be released in May,although theres a possiblity it will be delayed ....again.

Yes, I bought it early access which means pre-release - I understood what that meant that it may be some time (if ever) before it was fully functional and content complete.  However what I didn't expect was after paying all that money (early access was more expensive) to then find when they did finally add decent content it would require pricey DLC which is completely unacceptable.

That is apart from the MAJOR bug in multiplayer where anyone in slot 0 or 1 becomes invisible to other cars crash detection, can drive right through each other all day long. Yet a patch has come out since (1.1.3) with no fix. Sounds like NetKar all over again :(

aha,i never played NetKar,i also never noticed that bug,i did notice that multiplayer is quite buggy in general.

Im hoping project cars will be a polished product on release, they seem to be taking their time on it.
