engine oils for TDI after 2010 build

Featured Replies

Hi All, did some research and ended on the topic that says to not use any 2 stroke diesel lubricant on TDI VAG engines after 2010, I believe it helps with previous engine generation but what about others? thank you for any input :)

I can't see what the advantage of using 2-smoke oil in any 4-stroke engine is supposed to be.

ok, just wondering if there is anything new / tested on the market for 4 stroke engines now?

Just stick with quantum LL3, it has all the additives you'd need to help preserve the engine.

I wouldn't be didactic about using $brand, but I think we're both arguing for using a reputable brand name with an additive pack applicable to the fuel?

I believe that if it were beneficial for 2 stroke oil to be used in conjunction with the current fuels/oils recommended for vw brand vehicles then they would surely stock them in dealers, which they do not.

put long life 3 in the front and shell v power in the back.
