Seat repaired under warranty

Featured Replies

Had my 2012 VRS drivers seat bolster repaired under warranty.
They replaced the upper seat cover, foam and heating element.

Picked the car up today and it's not much better than it was before. It still slumps inwards and the foam doesn't seem to be positioned properly.

Here's a pic of the drivers bolster compared to the passenger one - would you be happy with this or would you get back on to the dealer?:

Also, I've just discovered my Kufatec Fiscon has disappeared from my maxidot.

Have they done a software update that has deleted it or could they have damaged the bluetooth wiring whilst working at the seat?

Got our drivers seat done under warranty and it was never done orrectly. They wouldn't take it out and fix it so its still the same. Could do with getting it fixed but not by a dealer. Anyone know a good repairer in Central Scotland?

I wouldn't be jazzed with that 'repair', but I would have probably said something at the time. Shouldn't make a difference to the dealer how many times they do it if it's under warranty apart from if Daddy Skoda tell them they need to buck their ideas up as it's getting expensive! :)

If it's just the dimpling along the side that bothers you, try putting a hair dryer on it for a while. Old tanner's trick. ;)

I've not tried them, but they were recommended by a few dealerships.

The images of the Octy II look good, especially the Scout.

I'm beginning to see a trend here, I had to get the drivers seat base and cover replaced due to the foam collapsing and the fabric bobbling within the first year of ownership. The foam has collapsed again and in using a full lumber seat cover to support it.

The dealer doesn't have the skill for this kind of job... They must replace the entire seat

It needs to be done by a proper trimmer as it.looks like a DIY bodge job.

FWIW I wouldn't be happy with that standard of repair.

Thanks for the responses.

What's the likelihood of getting a complete seat replaced?

Should I contact Skoda UK directly?

Yeah, put the pics on twitter for them too. That's bad. I'd be fuming.
