Did you get a chance for it to say hello to your Quattro? They would probably have quite a bit to talk about...in their own way :-D

No the quattro was away.It has been two weeks now having its brakes done. Or is it three? Seems ages.

Thats a shame, it would have been a nice photo opportunity if you had both cars together.

Yeah the WRX probably wouldn't exist if not for the urquattro.

I need to do one with my new daily and the quattro. I've bought a B7 A4 quattro, so it's the B2's great great great grandchild. :D

Oooh, family photo :)

I miss my M135, it was a great daily driver :( Although if you wanted to move around the tracks on it, the thumbwheel scrolled through the tracks stored/downloaded etc Perhaps BMW have tweaked the software...again

An interesting sidenote is, I'm told by the guys who bought an M140 that you cant get an MPE exhaust with the exhaust flap on it. I've heard one and it certainly doesn't sound as good as on my old M135's MPE. Even more shocking is BMW and their German counterparts have now fallen under the latest German law of no more flappy  sports exhausts :(:(:(:(  BMW say it's because the new particle filter that has to be fitted to petrol cars does not like the lower and changing back pressure of exhaust like their MPE range as fitted to their 'M' cars. I got mine just under the wire it seems.

BUT, even more horrifying...... I've now read of a couple of TT RS owners who have received their car back from Audi after a service, found the pops and crackles had been deleted from their software after an update....NOOOOOOOOOOOO There seems to be an argument as to whether this will effect all of Europes cars, but if the particulate filter issue is a difficult or expensive workaround, then it may be some time before a flappy exhaust is put back into production :(

Noo they can't remove the pops and crackles!

I blame VW for dieselgate setting all this off :(

I see that NZ is stopping foreign Johnny types buying property there. Looks like you got in well before the lock :)  Btw, that reminds me,  I hope my bachelorette pad is still there (next to the baby Kiwi sanctuary :) )
