thinking on buying

Featured Replies

So I'm going to look at this on Saturday.  Everything looks ok and was just after some thoughts from fellow briskodians.

seems reasonably priced. Any thoughts would be appreciated

tThanks

Looks pretty clean.  Coolant should be clear pink, check fluids.  A good sign of a well kept car is matching tyres of a good brand.

Disk/pad condition easy to check also due to the wheels.  Check everything works...climate & both rad fans start up...usual checks really :)

So does the mk1 vrs come with climate control as standard, spoke to the guy last night and its got 4 good tyres pirelli on front and avons on back with more than 5mm tread, disks and pads were changed recently, said they a lot of life in them still

ask have the door cards ever been off - look at speakers.

if they have been changed theres a chance the membranes have been damaged and could end up a winter swimming pool (common enough tbh on all mk 1s)

tbf though, that looks like a car with half the mileage on the inside, seats looks pretty mint, not much ear visible in the pics.

also a chance someone here is one of the 4 previous owners....

It does.  Test it out by having the bonnet open and press 'AUTO' - both fans should whirr into life provided the external temperature is above 4 degrees.  If this doesnt work the system has a problem
