So ive just purchased a 2009 FL VRS TDI Combi. 

 

It has the Maxidot and bolero system and MFSW, with a bluetooth module 1z0035729C

 

Im after A2DP functionality. What module do i need to upgrade to to get this? 

 

Dont really need any of the rSAP features.

 

What is the correct module that i need to get, id rather not have to install any new antennas if necessary....

Whether you need rSAP or not, your best option is probably the premium 3c8 modules (D or above), now less than £100 on eBay uk, and hopefully they will ship to NZ.   They are more future proofed do both HFP and rSAP as well as A2DP, and hardly anymore money than the HFP only modules anyway.  Also your older metal box might fetch some money on ebay...for some reason they hold value.

No its just a simple swap of the wiring plug to the new module.  You may just need a GSM antenna if you want to use rSAP and haven't got one already (e.g. http://cms2.netnews.cz/files/shop-images/6495308/8053-GSM-antenna-bluetooth-module.jpg).

 

You might need some VCDS coding to get it fully functional but it generally works without as the coding is pretty standard for the BT module.
