Thinking of putting a Honey Comb grill

Featured Replies

Ideally you'd need to relocate the horns as they look naff through it.

Afternoon all,

One thing gets me, is the in the bumper the grill is honeycomb but the bonnet grill is vertical slats.

found this grill replacement. What do you all think?

I don't have the silly light brows.

Thanks

Go the whole hog...strap a beehive to the bonnet.........make a bold fashion statement. :peek:

Hi Delboy

I have had fitted to my vRS. Looks great! But apart from the cost of fitting, I also had it sprayed gloss black. It's cost me at least £300!! The one in your link is the superskoda one! The pic is of their demo car.

Like the slatted one personally, each to their own though. Looks too aftermarket of you get me.

Thanks for the helpful advice, sounds that someone already has a beehive strapped to himself.

I would have it gloss black too. Keep the chrome surround on it though. Be great to see what it looks like in person. From the pic always hard to decide. Cost wise not too worried on that. Good friends with the owner of my local car garage and he always does things on the side for me. Thus spraying he will use paint from another job for example and fitting. Some cash in hand for a beer and job done. Only expense will be buying the new grill.

I like it too but thinking about the honey comb so it matches the bumper honeycomb and be all the same.

Biggest issue is removing the old one, which is plastic-welded to the bumper i believe.

Honeycomb has been done on this forum to accident damaged grills, where skoda were quoting for a whole replacment bumper i believe.

Not surprised any more these days. Anything to make more money out of us. Thankfully as stated above, my local garage will do it and they don't do it by the official skoda way.
