I can't find the engine code under the bonnet had a little scope about and can't see nothing the reason I'm looking is because I'm in the process of buying an egr delete just need to know whether iv got an asz or blt it's just my cars on an 05 so I don't know which one it is cheers

Would be an asz, 2006 cars have blt. Its in the cam belt cover. Should have a barcode with the engine code there.

under the boot carpet normally on the passenger side either on the spare wheel well or around that area you will see a build sticker for your car and all the option codes it came with from factory

Might have one on the drivers wheel arch tag as well, more of a hassleast ditch attempt though.

You could even phone parts company's such as euro and give them your reg, they should have the engine number from if.

There is a fresh copy of that build sticker in your service book as well.

And you will find it recorded in the V5C.

So no excuse
