Door unlocking- again

Featured Replies

I Changed the setting (on MFD) so that my key fob will open all doors with one press. Great. But when SHMBO tried her fob, it still needed two presses. Why? I have RTFM and can't find the answer there.

Because both keys are individually programmable.....just run through the same process with your wife's key in the ignition.

Thanks, you live and learn, but not from the manual!

Or the brochure, or the configurator in fact your better off searching or asking on here. Are other Skoda model as bad as the Yeti?

It still does not work. Been to the dealer and they tried and failed. They suggest it may be to do with the F L  Yeti. They said they would inquire  further.

Anyone with a FL Yeti managed to get both keys to do one press opening?

Mine was built in January 2015

I changed it to open all doors on my key soon after taking delivery.

The wife's key was still on 3 clicks needed to unlock all doors so I just started it up with that key and went into "Door Unlocking" selected "All Doors".

Make sure you come out of the menu's by selecting "Back" to get MaxiDOT back to normal display.

Both keys now open all doors with a single click.

Yes I also have it set that way on our FL

If it is not saving the change in the maxidot then you may need someone with VCDS to make the change

Mine will do 1 click open all doors with both keys.

You've mentioned your wife's key takes 3 clicks it should only take 2 quick presses, or are you doing this after you've unlocked it then 2 more quick presses?

My FL was single click on delivery and I changed the spare key to match myself.

Success! Thanks all. It seems the key to it, (excuse the pun) are two things. Start it up, not just turn on ignition, and select 'back'

That does not exactly inspire confidence does it!

I agree, but the days of the salesman having technical knowledgeof the brand  and thus knowing all the ins and outs of the options on a particular car seem to have gone.

I also guess that the technicians in the workshop never have the "spare time" to fiddle with all the options and become a fount of all knowledge !

Times money but that approach could come a cropper!!!!

I must say my dealer Horton's of Lincoln seem to be proving themselves to be the exception to that.

The Salesman I dealt with Paul Miller did know what was needed to be ordered to get the car I wanted with the accessories I wanted and the service workshop today sorted a problem with the TMC  on my Amundsen in a couple of hours today that I believe is the first fix on a post November Yeti with Amundsen II of a problem that I think they all have and some have been waiting weeks with no success on that front.
