Power cable from battery to boot in a Superb Combi

Featured Replies

i'm wanting to run 0 guage (zero guage!) cable from the battery to the book of my superb estate for my little audio upgrade.

does anyone know if there are any convienent spare holes or route into the car through the bulkhead for the cable, and for that matter, though the rest of the cabin, to the boot

In case anyone is wondering, at the moment i have just fitted a kenwood DNX525 head unit, and i've got a choice of subs to use with a DLS A5 amp with the standard front speaker for now which is a subject for another time.

I have the 0 guage to hand, so buying 4 guage seems pointless, and future plans would need the capacity of the 0 guage (a genesis profile sub ultra, plus whatever other amps i decide to run!)

So, does anyone know how to run 0 guage into the cabin of a superb estate, and any good suggestions for a grounding point in the boot would be good :)

Many Thanks

I can only speak from experience in my octavia but hidden behind the battery is a big gromit. So big, i've got 4 runs of 0awg going through it.

Is the front battery in the engine area of it is under the wipers like in the passat's?

do you mean a long rectangular one just under the windscreen?

no, its in the engine bay. I think the battery is below the windscreen like in the passats so it will be different. If there is one behind it then you can use it, will be hard to feed it through into the passenger compartment though
