Will new Black Logo badge fit 2005 Fabia VRS ?

Just for the sheer hell of it I bought two of the new type black logo badges c/o E.Bay.

Conflicting info stating they will fit with other sellers info stating it won't fit..

Attached picture, what's your opinion, will it/ won't it fit ?

I'll soon know when they arrive, then have a fight on my hands to remove two ten year old Skoda badges, bonnet & tailgate..LOL

My Fabia is a 2005 Estate.

Please let us know if these indeed fit.

I think there are two sizes, 80mm and 90.mm

As far as i'm aware, the correct ones should be 80mm which is what you appear to have.

No worries. I got some black Skoda badges but if you sent pastyboy a photo in the correct size you could have anything put on the badge.

Heads up:

As you will see below badge replacements for a Fabia VRS MK1 2005.

Chrome bevelled 80mm badge 5J0853621AUL will replace original Green bevelled 1U0853621C.

Both the 80mm tailgate and front grille badges are bevelled and identical.

 

You could I suppose (guessing) fit the larger 90mm on the rear tailgate being a larger area but the locating lugs on the back would probably be in the wrong place and need trimming off.

Your stuck with the front 80mm grille badge as it sits in a recess which controls what size (only) will fit..

To back up last comment the lugs on the back of new badges fit perfectly. The 80mm badges are a dead match in every way, front and back. Be careful not to accidently full off your grill when removing front badg! They come with strong sticky back too. The hardest part of the whole job is removing the old glue and that just takes patience.

i found white spirit was the best help to dissolve glue residue.

 

I also replaced engine top cover black plastic badge, with the new tail-gate 'YETI' 110mm chrome badge and replaced the chrome 'TDI' letters with nice red ones.

Given a good clean and using back to black spray, looked brand new.
