Is Castrol Edge the best oil for it?

Standard service interval is variable at approximately 18,000 miles (30,000km) and Castrol Edge is the right oil, fully synthetic 5W-30 VW specification 507.00. If you prefer fixed servicing at 10,000 miles your dealer can alter it to this setting for you.

 

On the maxidot you should be able to scroll down to the service indicator and it will tell you how far until the next service.
