cd/radio fitment

Featured Replies

hi, my octavia estate 4x4 2008 is ex police, and when trying to fit the Kenwood cd/radio I notice that the adapter loom side has had the following wires cut..........

2 x red/white

1 x thick brown

1x thin brown

1x blue/white

1 x black white

1x red thin

i have bought the adaptor kit for the kenwood, but cannot get it to work.

anyone any ideas as I have not got a wksp manual or wiring diagrams#

is it easy to replace the loom side adapter ?(factory fitted one)

many thanks in advance

can you take a pic so we can see if its different to oem?

If its oem you need a quad block adapter but you will also need to find a switched live. This can be done in two ways.

1. Run a cable from the fuse box from a switched live location to the ignition live on the headunit look

2. Buy a quad block adapter cable with a special box which creates a switched live from the canbus signal
