Glow plugs

Featured Replies

HI all

Recently fitted new glow plugs because of starting issues. But there was no change, fitted a new engine management temp sensor no change.

First start in the morning glowplug light on the dash stays on for about 3 seconds. Try starting the car 8 hours later and the light on the dash goes out after 1 second and the car struggles to start.

If I remove the electrical plug from the back of the engine management temp sensor the glowplug light on the dash will stay on for about 9 seconds and then the car starts fine.

My question is;- Would it do any harm leaving it unpluged?

Did you fit a genuine Temperature Sensor or non genuine?

IT was made my fabi.

I would fit a genuine CTS first as the non genuine can be a waste of money.

Genuine CTS is a must. But cheap, buy twice.
