VCDS to turn off amber driving mode light?

Featured Replies

Ok this could be in VCDS or on a MK7 Golf forum, but I know there are a few "brains" on here.

The driving mode switch is illuminated white to match the switch's at night time. If you change the mode to anything other than "normal" it changes to amber all the time.

Now I have it on "individual" as the steering is in sport mode due to being rubbish in normal mode!. So basically the switch is amber lit all the time which I find annoying as to shows it is "on" but I consider it to be in the most "normal" mode!

Is there a way to either turn the light of permanently, or is there a way to program items such as steering in sport to accept it under the "normal" mode programme??

I've had a brief look in VCDS but drawn a blank..............

I seem to recall something like this in one of the SeatCupra.net Leon Mk3 threads, as the interior LEDs on the door card change from white to red depending on what mode they are in (over and above the mode switch lighting). A lot of the owners wanted to retain red on at all times regardless of mode.

I will try to find the link or will have a play on VCDS later in the week as I am currently 350 miles away from the cable.

Link below is not exactly what you are after but may get you in the ball park:
